Cyber bullying

Cyber bullying is bullying that happens over the internet on websites such as Facebook and Bebo. These sites are social networking sites. Cyber bullying is usually aimed at young people and every year the number of people getting cyber bullied increases over the world. One of the biggest problems with cyber bullying is that there is no cut off form it for example people who get bullied in school will now go home and still get bullied but before social networking sites the bullying would stop at the school gates. This bullying is now showing to have an effect on young people because more young people are getting anxiety and depression which means they don’t want to go to school which is effecting there education and in some cases cyber bullying can lead to suicide. Now that social networking sites are such a big part of our society we need better ways of reporting the bullying.

Education

In school I.T. is playing a big part of how young people learn buy creating fun games and making lessons of a higher quality. Some schools are now doing lessons online because it gives more of a one on one feeling to the students and there are less distractions but there are also some negatives to bring I.T. into school such as the cost of the equipment and to keep it up to date and the fact that cyber bullying can happen though school websites like there email.

Working practices

I.T. in the work can be a good thing or a bad thing for example a good point for I.T. is that you can work from home and by saving things on a computer you are saving page and room because you don’t need to have files lying about but there is bad points to such as the cost of computers and the cost of all the times they need updated also because there are more computers in the work place there are less jobs for people.

  

Economy

In today’s world more and more people are buy there goods online from shops such as Amazon and Ebay and this means that the small shops are going away and that means there are less jobs and the only a small shop can last is by making a website and selling stuff over the web which will cost the business money. Shopping online is not always safe there can be many different problems such as people accessing your account and withdrawing your money or you paying for something and the item is not sent.

Communities

In today`s world people are spending a lot more of there time inside and not enough time outside getting exercise and it is because of this that the obesity levels are rising more and more every year, to many people are sitting in playing games and going on social networking sites, people need to get out and do more socializing and playing sports but I.T can have some benefits to for example it can help elderly people meet friends and find local things to do in the communities.

Shops

I.T in shops is a good thing for shop keepers and costumer because for the shop keepers they can use tills which is a lot easier than just using your head and it is better for people because it makes everything faster and easier for example you can use self scan tills which is a lot faster than waiting.

Spam

Spam is when you get emails or messages from a business or a person you don’t know trying to sell something to you, this happens to most people that have email. Spam is something you can not really stop you just have to live with it.

Phishing

Phishing is something that happens to people when they shop online it can happen to anyone, it is when the seller of any item doesn’t send you the item and will take your money, most of the time when this happens is when you are using a private dealer and the only way you can help stop it from happening is by reporting it when it happens
